The vision of Arise and Shine Publishing is to bring timely messages to the Body of Christ through various teaching and publishing books that God is saying to the church in this hour. This vision was given to Haavard Sand who was stirred and inspired by the teachings about the raising up of forerunner ministry rallied by the  International House of Prayer in Kansas City primarily by Mike Bickle.

Along with the books that carry the bridal message, the Arise and Shine Journal was also conceived. It is an annual Journal with various articles from different authors with specific theme on intimacy, revelation, intercession and revival.  Arise and Shine aims to equip and prepare the church to mature and be ready for the coming of the Lord through the publishing ministry.  

Haavard A. Sand, a native of Norway, is a missionary of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in the Philippines. He is a part of the YWAM leadership team in Olongapo City that ministers to formerly prostituted women. He is also a seminar speaker with focus on topics such as Bride of Christ, intimacy and end-times.

He is the leader of Arise and Shine Publishing, and edits the Arise and Shine Journal both ministries of YWAM. He is also helping to establish the Subic House of Prayer (SHOP).
